Tickhill Riding Club was formed in 1953

Our aim is to provide competitions for all riders regardless of their age or ability.

The club hosts member-only shows and public open shows throughout the summer season. We also host open dressage events throughout the winter. These are held at various local indoor arenas.

Tickhill riding Club is affiliated to the British Horse Society and is in Area 16. Club members have the opportunity to represent the club in team and individual competitions and disciplines.

Our club show classes are run on an age group basis: Lead Rein (7 years and under), 12 and under, 13-16, 17 and over. The classes include; turnout, ridden/equitation, working hunter, show jumping and gymkhana.

Points are awarded for riders placed in the classes and these accumulate towards annual presentation awards and rosettes. There are also additional annual classes including: dressage, handy pony, puissance and veteran, competitors placed in these classes will also receive awards and rosettes at presentation night.

Our open shows include numerous showing, in-hand, and show-jumping classes. Competitors placed in the showing and show-jumping classes will receive rosettes and prize money (depending on entries) and those placed in the in-hand classes will receive rosettes and medals.

Some open show classes also have trophies for winners which have to be returned each year.

Annual club registration costs just £25 and classes at club shows cost £2
